
The Ichabod Crane Society for things that go Bump in the Night
Ichabod Crane meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month in Irvington at Book Mamas bookstore. Meetings are free, we simply ask that you bring a unopened food item, personal care item or new / used clothing item to donate to the Irvington Food Bank. Help us help those less fortunate than ourselves.Here is the schedule for the 2010 Ichabod Crane talks.
Saturday Januray 16th 7 PM-Irving Theater-Marilene Isaacs-Indiana's premier psychic intuitive counselor will join us for an evening of discussion. Saturday Feb. 20th 7 PM-Book Mamas-"Things you want to know, but don't want to bring up except in the presence of like-minded people."-An evening of discussion on the paranormal, oddities of science, exotica, end of the world, rapture, etc. A special question & answer session led by Dr. Robert Craig. Saturday March 20th 7 PM-Book Mamas-The subject of EVP and Ouija boards will be discussed. Friday April 30th 7 PM-Irving Theater-The Lincoln Assassination and Lincoln Ghost Train will be discussed. Grand Opening of the Irvington Ghost tour headquarters inside Lazy Daze Coffee House. Saturday May 8th 4 PM-Skiles Test Nature Park-A tour of the infamous "House of Blue Lights" site on the city's northeast side will be conducted by a former resident and local expert. Don't miss this one! Saturday June 26th 4 PM-Irving Theater-The subject will be "Haunted Prisons" and our special guest speaker will be the last guard off the Island of Alcatraz, Jim Albright. Saturday July 17th 3 PM-Crown Hill Cemetery-An afternoon walk through Indianapolis' most famous cemetery. Bring a sack lunch, lawn chair, cameras, wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk! Saturday August 21st 7 PM-Book Mamas-An evening of discussion about pets / animals and the paranormal. Our special guest will be Kelly Haggard who will be bringing her search & rescue bloodhounds. There will also be a live demonstration of the dog's ability by releasing an Ichabod Crane member, most likely Robert Craig, into the streets of Irvington for the dogs to search for. FUN! Saturday September 18th 7 PM-Book Mamas-An evening of discussion about "Haunted Objects." Saturday October 2nd 7 PM-Irving Theatre-Join us for the first ever "Zombie Ball"-An evening of discussion on Zombies, best Zombie costume contest and the 1st ever Irvington Zombie parade! Saturday October 16th 7 PM-Book Mamas-An evening of discussion with Dawn Briggs and family about life in Irvington's most haunted house. Saturday November 20th 7 PM-Book Mamas-An evening of discussion about "Crypto-zoology" Saturday December 18th 7 PM-Book Mamas-An evening of discussion about ghosts of the Civil War, World War II and other armed conflicts.
